A New Chapter for Capella Space Founded in 2016, Capella launched its first synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite in 2018 and now operates a fleet of satellites. Over that time, Capella successfully launched the first operational U.S. SAR satellite, secured multiple classified contracts, and became a trusted partner to U.S. government agencies.
